Delectable Delights of Glen Ellen's Suite D Restaurant
There is never any shortage of good things to do in Sonoma and Suite D is doing its part to ensure that the destination’s well established reputation continues to be shrouded in like praise. Conceived by the owners of the iconic girl & the fig restaurant, Suite D is described as “a multipurpose, urban-industrial event space,” but I would call it so much more.
It is in fact, one of the most intriguing destination venues in burgeoning Glen Ellen and a brilliant addition to any Sonoma County visit itinerary.
Why? Because Suite D celebrates the spirit of Wine Country with a monthly calendar of events that combine great food and wine in a manner that is unique to Sonoma.
On a weekly basis, Suite D offers events ranging from a Wednesday Ramen Pop-Up, where for just $15 guests are invited to enjoy a menu that includes a side salad and a bowl of one of four ramens, to classic Sunday Suppers meant to hearken back to a time when Sunday dinner was the greatest highlight of the week. In addition to these weekly events, when the space is not booked for private events, Suite D offers other delightfully epicurean events throughout the month, a few of the most notable of which are listed below:
An Evening with Julia Child - Friday, January 13, 2017
Join Kathleen Hill, culinary historian and Food & Wine Editor of Sonoma Index-Tribune for an evening of “edible-inspired conversation” alongside a menu inspired by the legendary Julia Child and featuring a selection of some of Child’s classic recipes.

Old Fashioned Lobster Feed - Friday, January 27, 2017
For this special event, a veritable seafood fest will be the star attraction. Lobster, Dungeness crab, shrimp, and clams served with all the fixings, including house-made sausage and delicious sides are on the menu (as are messy hands and a rollicking good time I would imagine).

My Dinner with Paul Prudhomme - Friday, February 24, 2017
Just in time for Mardi Gras, Sonoma Index-Tribune Food & Wine Editor Kathleen Hill returns for an evening of Cajun cooking with a menu inspired by the singular Paul Prudhomme.
