Puppies & Pinot Benefits Sonoma County Humane Society
What could be a more perfect Sonoma Wine Country adventure than tasting Pinot Noir, petting puppies, and raising money for a wonderful cause? That’s the idea behind “Puppies & Pinot," a day of fundraising for the Sonoma Humane Society at Pellegrini and Olivet Lane Vineyard Estate from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017.
Hosted by the Pellegrini family, the event includes wine tasting, lunch by gourmet comfort food specialist Foodie Farmhouse, and special pricing on all Pellegrini and OLV Pinot Noirs. Guests will also take home a logo wine glass.
Perhaps even more exciting for dog lovers, volunteers from the Sonoma Humane Society will be on hand with adoption information, and to raise donations with their popular “Smooch from a Pooch” kissing booth, featuring the “Kissing Angels” Katy Rose and Coco Chanel.
And as always at the winery, friendly, well-mannered dogs on leash are encouraged to attend.
Tickets are $25, and a portion of the day’s wine sales will be donated to Sonoma County Humane Society, for its life-saving work providing safe haven and forever homes to the community’s homeless animals.
Guests can also tour Pellegrini Winery, which is home to Olivet Lane Vineyard, one of Russian River Valley’s oldest Pinot Noir vineyards.
Planted in 1975 by the Pellegrini family, whose roots in Sonoma County wine date back to the early 1900s, the historic vineyard has gained prominence for its acclaimed old vine Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
