Sonoma County Music Picks this April
There is a reason that Earth Day is celebrated during the month of April. Blooming trees, vineyards, farmer’s markets, outdoor acoustic music, and gorgeous weather showcase the best of Sonoma County in springtime.
The Sebastopol Apple Blossom Festival and Parade is at the end of April with the parade on Saturday, and a Blues Music Explosion on Sunday. Gloria Ferrer Winery and Iron Horse Vineyards are both kicking off sparkling wine season with bubbly events for Earth Day, with live music, wine and local eats.

McKenna Faith and Pat Jordan Band at the Battle of the Brews
The Battle of the Brews is officially turning 21 this year, and they are celebrating with two performances by Sonoma County favorites. The Pat Jordan Band will be getting the party started during the Craft Cup and Sandwich Showdown, highlighting the most delicious sandwiches from local chefs.
McKenna Faith, a country music singer/songwriter from Ukiah will bring her high-energy performance to the Main Event, featuring a variety of premier micro-breweries from around the country, including local breweries; 101 North Brewing Company, Carnero’s Brewing Company, Sonoma Springs, Petaluma Hills and more.
All proceeds go directly to helping children in need in Sonoma County. More info.
Disney's Choo-Choo Soul With Genevieve!
Young kids and the young at heart will enjoy the Green Music Center’s live performance from Disney’s hit TV show Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve! The singing conductor Genevieve and her beatboxing and breakdancing DC will perform their funky hip-hop renditions of the ABC’s and 1-2-3’s. Kids under 3 years old are free. More info.
Astronaut Lullabies Planetarium Concert
If you are looking for an unexpected experience, grab tickets to the Santa Rosa Junior College’s multi-sensory planetarium show. Sonoma County singer-songwriters Jim & Kathy Ocean will perform their collection of science and astronomy songs while visitors gaze at the stars in the indoor planetarium at the SRJC. Find out more.

Reverend Horton Heat & Dale Watson
Jim Heath (Reverend Horton Heat) & Dale Watson (Dale Watson & His Lone Stars) have teamed up to bring their original Texas bad-ass music to small intimate venues across America, and thankfully they are coming to Sonoma County. Fans will enjoy a good time and learn about the stories behind the songs. Check out the Facebook page.
Tickets for the Petaluma Music Festival just went on sale, with ticket prices going up on May 1st. The Chris Robinson Brotherhood are headlining, with a full lineup of bluegrass and rock bands taking the stage. All proceeds benefit the music education programs of the Petaluma area public schools. It is a kid-friendly event, with lots to do for the whole family. Kids 12 and under are free.
