Spring Tourism Forum

The SCTB invites tourism industry members to its annual Trends in Tourism Forum which will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011. The event will feature presentations by Troy Thompson (Travel2.0), David Bratton (Destination Analysts) and Ellie Rilla (UCCE) who will discuss key tourism trends and issues with an emphasis on Sonoma County.

The forum will be held 2:00 - 5:00p.m. at the Mary Agatha Furth Center, 8400 Old Redwood Highway, Windsor, CA 95492.

Troy Thompson of Travel 2dot0, a respected blogger, consultant and thought leader in the Tourism/ Travel Industry, will give comment/ suggestion on the changing marketing trends, with an emphasis on social media, analytics and websites.

David Bratton, founder of Destination Analysts, a key Tourism/Travel Industry Consultant, will explain current tourism market and the rapidly evolving travel market.

Ellie Rilla, author of the California Agritourism Handbook, will discuss the environmentally sustainable and socially responsible trend of Agritourism, and how it can be beneficial to Sonoma County.

Beverages will be served during the event, and there will be a wine and cheese reception following with opportunities to network with other Sonoma County tourism industry representatives.
