    Before there were vineyards in every valley north of San Francisco, before Napa and Sonoma were household names and before there was a California wine industry at all, there was Buena Vista. Founded in 1857, Buena Vista is California’s oldest premium winery, and its history is as colorful as it is proud. Just outside the town of Sonoma, the original winery is now a California Historic Landmark, and home to our Tasting Room & Visitor’s Center. Count Agoston Haraszthy, the father of the premium wine industry, established the winery in 1857.

    Amenities: Dog friendly, picnic tables for general use, wine tasting offered daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm Wine tastings, private tastings, large group tasting accommodations, Food and Wine Pairings for six (6) or more (10:30am daily), box lunches and buffet lunches (with prior arrangements), and meeting space.
