				      <title>Friday, July 03rd, 2009 - &#39;The Servant of Two Masters&#39; at Buena Vista Historic Tasting Room</title>
				      <link>http://www.sonomacounty.com/ncal/index.php&#63;com=detail&amp;eID=4740</link>
<description>The theatre returns to California&#39;s first winery!

Consecutive Friday&#39;s beginning June 12th through July 3 at 7:00pm. Come early with a picnic, enjoy Buena Vista Carneros and Atlas Peak wines and a great show.

Darkroom Productions partners with Il Teatro Calamari to bring a “lifted” version of Carlo Goldini’s “The Servant of Two Masters” to the Wine Country. Having kicked off its tour at the Harbor Theatre from May 28&#8212;31 and June 5&#8212;7, the show will travel to Sonoma, Yountville, Santa Rosa, and ends in Napa by July 16th. This stage play has all the twists and turns of a work of Shakespeare with 10 times more energy, and 10 times less verbosity.

Clarice and Silvio are about to be engaged and their proud fathers, Pantalone Biginosi and Dottore Lombardi are delighted. But in walks Federigo Rasponi of Turin—Clarice’s dead fiancé—and his servant Truffaldino. Pantalone decides to honor the engagement between his daughter and the formerly dead guy, despite the bitter objections of Clarice, Silvio and Dottore Lombardi. Brighella, the local inn keeper, recognizes that Federigo is really his sister Beatrice, disguised as her dead brother in a desperate search for her lover Florindo who’s been accused of killing Federigo. When Florindo arrives looking for shelter and a servant, Truffaldino finds the best way to get a consistent meal is to serve two masters—Florindo and Beatrice—but neither knows about the other’s presence, and Truffaldino simply knows nothing. Truffaldino is run ragged by his dual masters, becoming hungrier and hungrier with every fetched order … When all seems lost and confusion’s at its peak; a joyful series of reunions and discoveries brings the plot to its final unraveling where all the characters find a happy fruition.

<title>Friday, July 03rd, 2009 - Rick Reynolds Only The Truth is Funny: Mid&#8212;Life At The Oasis</title>
				      <link>http://www.sonomacounty.com/ncal/index.php&#63;com=detail&amp;eID=4592</link>
<description>For those of you who didn&#39;t get a chance to see Rick Reynolds&#39; fantastic new show &#39;Only The Truth Is Funny &#8212; 2009&#39; earlier this year, you&#39;re in luck &#8212; it&#39;s coming back! For those of you who did catch it, you&#39;re in luck as well. Rick has re&#8212;worked &#8212; and re&#8212;titled &#8212; the piece. It&#39;s now &#39;Only The Truth Is Funny: Mid&#8212;Life At The Oasis,&#39; and features new material, both humorous and touching. Rick explains &#8212; &#39;I didn&#39;t think that the theme of the first show (that life is hard but totally worth it) was as clear as it could be, so I&#39;ve channeled Frank Capra in an effort to nail the damned thing!&#39; Don&#39;t miss this second opportunity to experience what The San Francisco Chronicle has called &#39;belly laughs for the heart,&#39; Rick Reynolds&#39; &#39;Only The Truth Is Funny: Mid&#8212;Life At The Oasis!&#39;</description>

				      <link>http://www.sonomacounty.com/ncal/index.php&#63;com=detail&amp;eID=3226</link>
<description>Neil Simon’s Broadway hit follows the lives of newlyweds Paul and Corie as they adjust to married life in a tiny Greenwich Village apartment. Paul is a lawyer wound a little too tight, while Corie is a free spirit bubbling over with romantic notions. In typical Simon style, all manner of comic chaos ensues as the young couple’s marriage begins to collapse under the pressure of a five&#8212;flight walk up, a leaky skylight, and an eccentric neighbor.
