    You may access the park from the North entrance at 3000 Los Alamos Rd. or from the Southwest entrance at 1450 Pythian Rd. in Santa Rosa, CA. Hood Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve encompasses over 1,700 acres of wilderness in the Myacamas Mountains. Exceptional views of Sonoma Valley, the San Pablo Bay, and even San Francisco can be seen on clear days from the overlook at Gunsight Rock. The park offers hiking, equestrian trails, and is adjacent o Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Two hike in environmental campsites are available to backpackers.
