Be among the first to experience the new home of Sunset Magazine's test garden at Cornerstone in Sonoma, California. Field to Vase Dinner guests are in for a treat, as Sunset garden editor Johanna Silver plays host to the special few in attendance on October 16. This extra-special dinner will be held among the rows of flowers and foliage that make up Sunset’s test garden. Guests will dine on a menu full of fresh-picked food from the garden and other local farms. American Grown flowers, food, and wine will take center stage on this stop along a dinner tour that the Wall Street Journal is calling a “Feast Among the Flora.” The evening will focus on celebrating the idea that the flowers at the center of the table should be as fresh, local and sustainable as the food on your plate. Diners will enjoy the visual feast prepared by Alethea Harampolis, florist for Homestead Design Collective and co-founder of Studio Choo Florists. The floral designs will be made up of flowers from the Cornerstone property and surrounding local flower farms. Located in California’s beautiful wine country, Cornerstone Sonoma is home to many innovative landscape designs celebrating the connection between art, architecture and nature. After a four-course meal served family style and insightful talks and discussions from Silver and Harampolis, along with the chef and vintner, guests will leave with wonderful memories as well as a handcrafted bouquet of flowers and a Field to Vase tote full of floral treasures.
