Robert Ferguson Observatory presents a guided hike along the Planet Walk with docents. Along the way they will speak about each planet in our solar system, with chances to view local wildflowers along the way. This hike comes with passport booklets for all participants, where you will receive a stamp for each planet you reach. There are two different options for the hike, depending on the length you are up for.

PlanetWalk is a scale model of the solar system designed to fit within the boundaries of Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Most people know that the planets orbit the Sun, but it is difficult to visualize just how small the planets are compared to the immensity of the Sun. It is equally difficult to imagine the vast empty spaces between the planets.
