With Bold Knife and Fork: M.F.K. and Cassoulet
Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR) is restoring the legendary author M.F.K. Fisher's home to capture the spirit and the flavor of her life and as an exclusive destination honoring her love of food, wine, literature and nature. Cassoulet was one of M.F.K. Fisher's favorite dishes to prepare and enjoy with family and friends. Enjoy a delicious meal, share memories of M.F.K. Fisher and her life in Last House, and exchange ideas regarding the use of and future of Last House.
Events and programs to support Last House have been curated by Sheana Davis of The Epicurean Connection. Davis, who as a teenager was hired to do odd jobs around Last House, has remained a fan of Fisher’s through the years and longed to revive the convivial atmosphere of the house. Davis is volunteering her expertise at bringing together chefs, writers and local luminaries to enliven the space once again. Proceeds from the events will fund the renovation effort.
THE MENU INCLUDES: A fromage selection: P-1 double creme brie, Delice de la Vallee & Fall Relish Selection; Stone Edge Farm salad and Estate Olive Oil Vinaigrette; Cassoulet by The Depot Hotel and The Epicurean Connection, made with Rancho Gordo Beans; Bouchon Bakery dessert bar; and a selection of Napa and Sonoma Valley wines.
