The 3rd Annual Farmer Olympics is an interactive festival for farmers, foodies, and families alike! Start training now! Celebrating local food and sustainable agriculture, this interactive festival isn’t just for farmers. Families, food-lovers, and champions for sustainability from all across the Bay Area will try their hand at down-home games like wheelbarrow relays, haybale-stacking, and more. No farming experience required! With local food and drinks, live music, and dozens of partnering farms and organizations, this event combines entertainment with education to explore where our food comes from while celebrating those who grow it. Gates open at noon, with festivities continuing until 7 p.m. Everyone is eligible to participate, prizes awarded to all winners. Games and activities include Hay Bale Stacking, Drip-tape Jump Rope, Egg on a Spoon Race, Competitive Irrigation, Pizza Topping Contest, and many more! Sponsors and partners include: Redwood Hill Creamery, American Ag Credit, Baker Creek Seed Co., Whole Foods, Marin Sun Farms, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Straus Family Creamery, Slow Food, Shone Farm, and more.
