Take a special tour of the Artistry in Wood exhibit at the History Museum of Sonoma County with three master woodworkers, Scott Clark, Bill Taft, and Larry Stroud. Learn about the craftsmanship that goes into each piece, the many details that are hidden to the layperson, and the many techniques that woodworkers employ to refine the art of their craft. Scott Clark has been a woodworker his entire life but decided to specialize in lathe work after seeing a demonstration more than a decade ago. He owns ISpinWood.com and is a member of the American Association of Woodturners, and a Guild member of the Sonoma County Woodworkers. Bill Taft is the chairman of the Sonoma County Woodworkers and specializes in the decorative arts of woodworking, mainly marquetry. Larry Stroud has been a longtime contributor to Artistry in Wood and is known for his beautifully constructed furniture. RECEPTION begins at 6:30 p.m. The TALK begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
