The largest city in Northern California’s wine growing region opens up the pathways along its Santa Rosa Creek and Prince Memorial Greenway park areas for the Santa Rosa Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, which marks its 8th annual running on August 28, 2016. The Santa Rosa Marathon was the 4th Top Marathon to qualify for Boston (year to date) at 24.5%. The course starts in Juilliard Park and the first two miles run through scenic Downtown Santa Rosa. It is a flat, fast course that then continues along the scenic Prince Memorial Greenway. Mile 8 - 19 then goes through beautiful West Sonoma County and runs through De Loach Vineyards and even their barrel room. The Post-Race Festival will be held at Juilliard Park in downtown Santa Rosa from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with food and fun for all including a farmers market and kids' activities.
