Vineyards to Villages (V2V) was started by the Sonoma County wine industry to bring clean water infrastructure to schools in western Kenya. In September, V2V is hosting the 2nd annual V2V Wine Safari to give people the opportunity to drink boutique Sonoma County wines and view African wildlife while bringing clean water to children in Africa. Two ticket options are available: Simba Safari - $150 per person or $260 per couple - September 10, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Safari West. Jambo Safari included; Jambo Safari - $50 per person - September 3-11 at various wineries. The Simba Safari offers a 3-hour, wine-infused, open-vehicle safari at Safari West to view African wildlife from giraffes and zebras to monkeys and cheetahs on an expansive 400 acres. Following the safari, there will be a BBQ lunch at Safari West, presented by the wineries that support V2V throughout the year - Christopher Creek, Fritz, Pedroncelli, and Viszlay. The Simba Safari ticket comes with a free Jambo Safari ticket! The Jambo Safari offers complimentary tastings at 10 wineries in northern Sonoma County from September 3-11. Exchange your receipt for your safari ticket and glass at the first winery you visit and go from there! Intimate tastings of exceptional high-end wines, often hosted by the owners themselves, will allow for a truly unique wine country experience. Participating wineries donate 1/3 of the sales price of one of their wines to V2V throughout the event. All Jambo ticket sales go directly to V2V.
