Big-tree dreams: Every year, Hotel Petaluma decorates its courtyard with Christmas trees and festive lights. The hotel also hosts a gingerbread house showcase and competition (Dec. 17 this year), with some of the sweet dwellings replicating historic Petaluma mansions.
