Sonoma County is Open for Business

Sonoma County welcomes meetings, retreats and groups. This season is a special one for Sonoma County. With the recent fires in Northern California, we personally witnessed the resilience of our community, the kindness of volunteers, donations from individuals throughout the U.S., and the strength and courage of more than 9,000 first responders, many who traveled hundreds of miles to our county. We are grateful.

With that said, Sonoma County is open for business and ready to share our outstanding hospitality with your meeting attendees. Our destination is more than 1 million acres in size and more than 90 percent of our county was not damaged by the fires; 98 percent of our county's more than 425 wineries were not damaged. The 2017 wine grape harvest was 90 percent complete at the onset of the fires and we are expecting exceptional wines from this harvest.

We unfortunately lost hotels that are well known to our group meetings clients – the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country and the Fountaingrove Inn. However, our destination won't lose the total number of hotel rooms. Several new hotels recently opened and others will be ready for business soon. These hotels include the Oxford Suites in Rohnert Park, the Holiday Inn in Windsor, the boutique Astro Hotel in Santa Rosa.

If you have any questions regarding our destination, please contact your national sales manager. We will be happy to assist and assure you that your meeting guests will experience the same beautiful landscape that Sonoma County is famous for.
