Top Babymoon Activities in Sonoma County

Before your lives revolve around midnight feedings and diaper changes, take the time to relax, reconnect as a couple, and enjoy a personalized blend of pampering, luxury, and romance on the perfect Sonoma County babymoon.

Typically scheduled for the second trimester, this pre-baby getaway for expecting couples can ease the stress and woes of pregnancy, and provide a loving interlude before you enter (or re-enter) parenthood. Whether you have one day, a few days, or a week or more, luxuriate in Sonoma County's beauty and bounty on your final trip together before sippy cups, bibs, and diaper bags become required traveling gear.

Based in Sebastopol, Cindy Scott-Fuchs of Mellow Mommy presents a variety of personalized babymoons at locations throughout Sonoma County, creating an intimate, private retreat for the daddy- and mommy-to-be. Her classic babymoon package includes two nights at your choice of lodgings, and a one-day visit from Mellow Mommy that includes a 90-minute prenatal massage for mommy, a 60-minute daddy-to-be massage, and a private 'art of relaxation' coaching session offering valuable skills for coping with parenthood, all provided in your room.

Or you can choose your own lodgings, and Scott-Fuchs will bring her services to you. Other options might include meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, or a belly casting. Scott-Fuchs also offers group retreats twice a year, and periodically presents a Prenatal Art of Relaxation Coaching Session in Sebastopol for a limited number of students.

Whether you work with Mellow Mommy or plan your own getaway, Sonoma County offers a rich variety of settings for your babymoon, from a cabin in the redwoods to a delightful B&B in a quaint and walkable town, or an oceanview hotel room with a welcoming fireplace and private balcony.

Whether you want to get away from it all or be in the heart of appealing shops and restaurants, and whether your style is casual, classy, or a combination of the two, Sonoma County has the ideal spot for your babymoon. Getting to Sonoma County, north of San Franciso, is easy by air or car. Here are some of the top Sonoma County babymoon destinations, by region.
