8 Restaurants for Edible Flower Loving Foodies

Barndiva in Healdsburg is one of many Sonoma County restaurants that include delciious and beautiful edible flowers on their menus.

It's spring in Sonoma County and wildflowers aren't the only things blooming. With our laid back farm-to-table lifestyle in Sonoma County, many restaurants, wineries, and hotels are taking on the simple addition of edible flowers to make their culinary masterpieces come to life.

Some of these restaurants even grow their own edible flowers on site and incorporate them into dishes, drinks, and alongside their food for an added dining experience.

For whatever reason it's done, it's beautiful, and us foodies love it. Here are eight restaurants with edible flower creations that are perfect for flower-loving foodies:

Healdsburg SHED

The Healdsburg SHED is all about showcasing the freshest locally grown food in their cafe, which features seasonal menus of farm-to-table excellence. Almost all of the food they serve is grown within a 10-mile radius of their kitchen. Be sure to check out their workshops on bee keeping, farming, wine making and more.

Foodie Farmhouse Food Truck

Being one of my personal favorite food trucks, Foodie Farmhouse is not your typical snack on wheels. These gourmet plates are gorgeous, not to mention delicious. Whether it's their Kimchi fries after a beer at Cooperage Brewery, or their Korean BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos after Barrel Tasting, their seasonal and ever-changing menu is worth every penny. See where they'll be parked this month

Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens

Kendall-Jackson Winery has an on-site garden where their Insta-famous culinary gardener Tucker (@Farmert) picks the seasonal ingredients for the dishes they curate. They then include these dishes in their farm-to-table dinners that take place in the middle of the garden. Amazing, right? Check out their farm-to-table series for 2017.

Barndiva

One of the most foodie-friendly restaurants in Sonoma County, Barndiva sets itself apart with almost every plate they release being an artistic creation. With a motto "Wherever you are, eat the view," their seasonal locally-sourced menus are comprised of their local garden's delights. After all, they believe you can’t “Eat the View” without knowing who has grown it.

Zazu Kitchen + Farm

Zazu Kitchen in Sebastopol is quite easily the definition of an authentic farm-to-table restaurant in Sonoma County. Their menus change daily after they hunt through their gardens to see what is ripe and ready to serve. They even have their own sustainably-grown bacon company to add to their tasty menu.
