Each summer for the last five years, what has been called Sonoma County’s “Best Special Theater Event” has taken over Glen Ellen’s historic Jack London State Park with a series of concert events that have been among the highlights of the season.

Transcendence Theatre Company’s highly anticipated, award-winning “Broadway Under The Stars” extravaganza includes a stellar array of talent deliver performances from theatrical spectacles that have won rave reviews around the globe.

Just as in previous years, beginning on June 16, summer fun will swing into high gear when “Broadway Under the Stars” returns to Sonoma Valley with more razzle dazzle than any single destination in Wine Country should allow.

However, for 2017, the Transcendence Theatre Company has also cooked up a little bonus brilliance certain to wow Broadway fans and serve as a prelude of sorts to the summer’s big event.

Set to take place indoors, rather than under the stars, Transcendence Theatre will debut the “Best of Broadway Under the Stars” at Santa Rosa’s Luther Burbank Center for the Arts with two shows presented at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on March 11 and 12

Billed as a “thrilling journey of musical theatre classics, current Broadway hits, mash-ups, and popular chart-toppers that will have you dancing in your seat from beginning to end” the program for this extraordinarily special “Best of” celebration will include more than 20 performers from Broadway shows such as Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Book Of Mormon, Mary Poppins, and many more.

Adding to the festive vibe of the evening, a pre-show nosh will be available for purchase from the Food Truck Croques and Toques before each performance and, for those really wanting to make a night of it, a special VIP experience including pre-show festivities including live entertainment in the Carston Cabaret, two glasses of premium California wines and a selection of artisan hors-d'oeuvres, is on the menu.

Tickets for the show range in price from $129 (VIP) to $39. See their promotional video here.
