Eat at New Ricky's Eastbound
You can enjoy fine burgers nearly everywhere in Sonoma County, but at the new Ricky’s Eastbound, you can dig into The Eastbound Burger, bringing a juicy patty topped in brie and caramelized onions in a pizza-parmesan bun. Pizza and burger all-in-one? What joy!
Set in Skyhawk Center of Rincon Valley in Santa Rosa, Ricky’s is a family-friendly spot from husband and wife, Linn and chef Rick Bruno, the team behind Santa Rosa’s popular Bruno’s on Fourth.
More casual than Bruno’s, this destination features home style cooking for signatures like grilled flat iron steak with red wine reduction, crumbled blue cheese and French fries; Cajun pasta with sausage, chicken, peppers and onions; chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables; and a classic Louie salad of romaine lettuce, bay shrimp, hardboiled egg, tomatoes, artichokes, avocado and housemade Thousand Island.
In case you’re craving more pizza, the wood fire oven sends out pies smothered in marinara, basil, fresh mozzarella and cherry tomatoes; or salumi, Italian sausage, mozzarella and provolone, among others. Or go crazy, and get the “Make it a Mess” of mac ‘n’ cheese mounded with beef brisket, blue cheese slaw and chipotle aioli.
Then, to finish: homemade beignets for dunking in chocolate sauce.
Rounding things out, the full bar gets creative, too, tempting with interesting cocktails like the PB&J Martini of Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey and cherry juice.
Casual doesn’t mean low key, either. The décor is gorgeous, trimmed in weathered wood and graffiti corrugated metal.
