Farm-to-Table Family-Style Spring and Summer Dinner Series at Kendall-Jackson
With more than 42,000 followers of his eye-popping Instagram postings, Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens' master gardener, Tucker Taylor's luscious farm-fresh fruits and vegetables take center stage as stars of the show when paired with exquisite estate wines and Sonoma County's most outstanding artisan foods served family-style during the winery's annual Farm-to-Table Dinner season.
Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the glorious surrounds of the Kendall-Jackson Estate gardens in one or more of a series of five reasonably-priced shared-table dinners, hosted by wine experts, culinary staff and the master gardener himself. Appetizers are served from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with sit-down, family style dinners to follow on Saturdays May 14, June 11, Aug. 13, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8, 2016.
There's sure to be something different and equally delightful on each menu. Farm-to-table dinners are derived from the day’s harvest and the fresh, new bounty of Sonoma County, perfectly paired with the best of Kendall-Jackson's estate wines.
Dining al-fresco and at leisure is a great way to get to meet some new people, get to know fellow diners, and mingle with the winery's wonderful staff.
May's dinner menu opens the farm-to-table dinner season at Kendall-Jackson with features such as smoked Mt. Lassen trout, spring baby vegetable salad, roast leg of lamb, dried cured black olive & fig relish, Farmer T's mixed baby greens, herbs and edible flowers with verjus vinaigrette.
There's nothing more enjoyable than a leisurely outdoor dinner experience in which the food keeps coming and the wine flows. Guests take time over wood-fired spring vegetables, Montezuma red bean, celery and spring onion with fresh lovage salad, and sweet treats such as raspberry profiteroles with crème fraiche and whipped cream.
If that's not enough to entice, tiny mignardises (pastries and sweets) and artisan cheeses wrap up an enchanted evening in the winery's Tasting Room, through 9 pm.
