The Sonoma County Women in Conversation series started in 2016 to create a stronger voice around topics of interest for all ages of women. Now, in its third year, the #MeToo movement has brought to light hardships that women face everyday. This year, Ashley Judd, Lindsay Meyer, and Adama Iwu — three women who were featured in the Time Magazine 2017 Person of the Year issue honoring the “The Silence Breakers“—will be taking the stage at the Luther Burbank Center. Every year the Battle of the Brews, put on by the 20/30 Club in Santa Rosa, raises money for a local charity with ticket sales for their annual beer tasting and sandwich competition. This year is no different, except the money raised goes to fire relief to help Sonoma County fire survivors. Even now, four months after the October 2017 wildfires, help is still needed. Grab your tickets and raise a pint to the generosity and strength of the Sonoma County community.

For some ghostly fun while getting a lesson on Santa Rosa history, be sure to check out the Darkside Tours at the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery on the first Friday the 13th of the year. Every year, actors reenact tales of murder, suicide, and other tragedies in the walking tour.
