SingleThread, a three-star Michelin restaurant and one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants has recently announced a couple unique experiences in Sonoma County. Starting August 6, they'll be opening their rooftop gardens in Healdsburg for a limited time as a casual wine bar from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Wine Director, Rusty Rastello, will be curating a special by the glass and by the bottle list of local wines, Old World selections, and Champagnes. A small menu of food items from the SingleThread kitchen will also be available.

Additionally, beginning Saturday, August 1 through the end of September, they'll be hosting a Summer Wine Dinner Series served outdoors among the vineyards at Kistler Vineyards-Trenton Roadhouse. The Kistler - SingleThread Dining Experience will include a 10-course menu paired with their single clone heritage wines. Happy Hour on the Plaza

Sonoma Plaza has long been one of the only public parks of its kind where you can bring a bottle of wine or your favorite adult drink to enjoy in the plaza. This is a uniquely Sonoma County experience, especially with so many great wine tasting rooms located around the plaza, and nearby restaurants and stores, like Sonoma Market, for grabbing picnic supplies. New this year, however, are other plazas, including the Healdsburg Plaza and Windsor Town Green, where you can also bring a bottle of wine or beer to enjoy. Many nearby local restaurants and bars, such as Duke’s Spirited Cocktails in Healdsburg and Sweet T’s in Windsor, are offering cocktails and other drinks to go.

Note: These measures allow for alcohol in these specific parks, but not throughout these towns.

Dining Al Fresco on Santa Rosa’s 4th Street

In Santa Rosa, dining takes to the streets, much like you may see on the cobblestone streets and alleys of charming European towns. Parts of Santa Rosa’s 4th Street, around Old Courthouse Square, recently closed, making way for 4th Street restaurants like Beer Baron Bar & Kitchen, and Russian River Brewing Company to open dining areas directly on 4th Street. Bring a hat, shades, and face covering, and enjoy dining al fresco in downtown Santa Rosa.

Al Fresco Spa Treatment at Osmosis Day Spa

Similarly, spa treatments go outdoors at Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary with their new al fresco massage treatments. Several massage pagodas tucked along Salmon Creek afford a unique, yet intimate spa experience at Osmosis Day Spa. Enjoy a walk through their private Japanese-landscaped gardens, kick back in a hammock, or simply sip on their wellness-enhancing herbal tea while taking it all in. Booking requests can be made through their website.

Carpool Cinema

Recently, we shared about several different outdoor movie experiences happening in Sonoma County throughout the summer. Among them, is the Luther Burbank Center's Carpool Cinema. Taking place on Wednesday and Sunday nights in their parking lot, the Luther Burbank Center's Carpool Cinema has a great lineup of summer movies, including A League Of Their Own, The Big Lebowski, Toy Story, The Blues Brothers, and The Goonies. Tickets can be purchased online.
