In just a few short weeks, spring will have officially sprung in Sonoma County, which means that now is perfect the time to start thinking about spring cleaning. After all, how can you make room for new things with all that old clutter around?
Out with the old and in with the older I always say. And what better place to begin your search for new old things than at an antiques fair? And not just any old antiques fair, the Petaluma Antiques Faire!
Historic Downtown Petaluma is reborn as what has been called "The Bay Area's Premier Antique Center" for the 27th Annual Petaluma Spring Antique Faire on Sunday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Already well known as a premiere destination for antiquing in Sonoma County, Petaluma ramps up the action for the Spring Antique Faire as downtown morphs into a genuine antiques marketplace for more than 8,000 discerning collectors as well as first time buyers interested in collecting and investing in real antiques.
Set among Downtown Petaluma's hub beautiful historic buildings, one-of-a-kind stores, and diverse array of restaurants and cafes, patrons of the 2013 Spring Antiques Fare can expect to find a wide variety and incomparable selection of affordable antiques from more than 180 dealers.
From estate jewelry, linens, furniture, and art to kitchenware, vintage décor, books and all kinds of unusual collectables, Petaluma's Antiques Faire promises something to suit every budget. Admission is free but plan to get there early so you can enjoy a breakfast prepared by the Masons and served in the Masons building on the morning of the show for just $8.
