But while visiting a local music venue isn’t so feasible right now, Sonoma County musicians and music halls are here to the rescue with fun live streaming performances. Flatbed Couch Concerts

The Flatbed is a project of Creative North Group, an artist collective of independent community advocates. From the creators of the grassroots FLATBED Music Festival, comes live-streamed concerts each Friday on Facebook through mid-June as part of a “Couch Concerts” series.

Green Music Center at Sonoma State University

As the performing arts presenter at Sonoma State University, the Green Music Center is now housing an online collection of upcoming live streams and recently recorded videos from inspiring artists. You’ll find a multitude of musical genres represented, such as American roots music, chamber and orchestral, country, dance, jazz, music for families, and more. Additionally, stay connected and experience live music together with their virtual listening parties.

The Phoenix Theater

Petaluma’s Phoenix Theater has a century of colorful and varied history. From opera house to movie theater to rock ‘n roll venue, the Phoenix has been an icon for entertainment and the arts in Sonoma County. Take a step back into time with the Phoenix Theater on Facebook, where they’re posting daily throwback videos of bands who’ve played there. May we suggest the Metallica show from ’91.

Best known as a drummer in the legendary rock band, the Grateful Dead, Mickey Hart, a Sonoma County local, is bringing music to the masses with his weekly “Tunes Tuesday.” Follow along on Hart’s Facebook, where he shares a little music history along with a quick link to where you can find your next music fix. Additionally, Dead & Company, made up of Hart and other former Grateful Dead members, is posting videos of past concerts on their Facebook page.

The Easy Leaves

A Sonoma County country favorite, The Easy Leaves have been taking their music to major cities and festivals across the country for years.  Now you can enjoy them from the comfort of your home. Staying in line with their Sonoma County roots, The Easy Leaves are hosting weekly Honky Tonk Close-Ups on their Facebook, which you can catch live or at your convenience.

Two Lions

Finally, Sonoma County’s own Two Lions draws on musical influences that has included everything from 80s’ punk to bluegrass. They’ve drawn inspiration from the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Beck, and an endless list of others. Now, you can follow Two Lions along on Facebook for live performances.
