Soulful Summer Music Nights in Sonoma County
With the amazing line-up of musical events slated to take place all over the county, there is no shortage of soul music in Sonoma this summer.
From every corner of Sonoma — in vineyards and concert venues, on plazas, and even in shopping villages — expect to find music filling the air. Of course, the months ahead are always especially musical in Sonoma given what an ideal companion song makes for wine country’s sultry summer weather, but this year expect a number of very soulful nights and afternoons to be included in the mix.
Below are a few highlights:
July 20 – Sol Horizon at The Barlow
Every third Thursday through October, The Barlow — an outdoor market district in Sebastopol that’s noted for featuring local food, wine, beer, spirits, and crafts made onsite by Sonoma County artisans — showcases local bands and performers in an evening that combines music, food, fun and a little shopping (for guests who feel so moved). On July 20, 2017, The Barlow will host the soulful sounds of Sol Horizon, a band voted "Best World/Reggae band" in the North Bay and known for energetic live performances that fuse roots reggae with rock, funk and world beats.
