Weill Hall: Sounds of Summer in Sonoma 2015
Since opening nearly three years ago at Rohnert Park’s Green Music Center, Weill Hall & Lawn has established itself as one of the most exciting and important destinations for music, not only in Sonoma County, but in all of the North Bay Area.
This is particularly so in the warm summer months when Weill Hall rolls out its summertime concert series featuring a galaxy of music’s biggest stars.
For those unfamiliar with Weill Hall, the acoustically superlative, 1,400-seat concert venue is aesthetically modeled after Seiji Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, right down to a back wall that can be fully opened onto the beautifully landscaped and terraced Weill Lawn. There, patrons are offered a number of distinct experiences including a full-service gourmet meal on the dining terrace, table seating, or lawn seating. In this surreal setting, purchased food or picnics can be enjoyed against the picturesque backdrop of the foothills of Wine Country.
With an eye-popping list of headliners on the bill for 2015, this summer’s MasterCard Performance Series is shaping up to be the venue’s most memorable year yet. Here are just a few of the highlights:
July 4, 2015 – Megan Hilty – Weill Hall & Lawn

July 18, 2015 – Kevin Spacey - Weill Hall & Lawn
House of Cards’ Frank Underwood sings? Well maybe he doesn’t but Kevin Spacey, the actor who brought him to life, does. Multi-talented, Emmy-Award winning actor/singer/director Kevin Spacey, will sing standards from the American Songbook at this most special event – and he will be joined by a full orchestra as he does. How cool is that?
Sept. 25, 2015 – Kristin Chenoweth - Weill Hall & Lawn
Fresh from Broadway, where she played Lily in On the Twentieth Century to rave reviews, Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress, LGBT advocate and singer Kristin Chenoweth brings the GMC summer season to a rousing conclusion on Friday, September 25, 2015. At this ‘event of the season’, revel in what the New York Daily News has described as the “nuclear glow” of the performer they call a “stick of blond dynamite.”
