Welcome Free Range Provisions and Eats
Diners and shoppers in Sonoma County were sad when Free Range Provisions & Eats closed in December, locking the doors to its café, specialty grocery store, and culinary gift shop in downtown Petaluma.
But smiles are back again, since owner Suzanne Alexandre has now reopened, and is back crafting her seasonal menu. Customers can tuck in once again to specialties like a smashed pea and prosciutto sandwich, a Silo & Sea Salad; a field greens and beans Caesar with kale, broccolini, white beans, croutons and cheese; chorizo-spinach-eggie quiche; and a Spring Super Crunch toss of grains, nuts, peas, spring onions, arugula, and goats cheese.
Just the thing to go with Alexandre’s signature hibiscus iced-tea infused with the season’s first strawberries.
Guests will notice an updated interior and more selection on the shelves for kitchen and home accessories, DIY cheese and beer making kits, and knick-knacks.
Keep in mind that the menu is brief, featuring one salad and one sandwich changing according to what’s in season, plus the Silo & Sea salad available only Wednesdays through Fridays. But when the food is this good, we’re happy with whatever we can get.
