Cloverdale, the northernmost town in Sonoma County, is located in the picturesque Alexander Valley wine region just off of California’s Highway 101. Small town charm and friendly people welcome visitors to this city that is framed by oak-studded rolling hills, vineyards, and small farms.
A free summer concert series, Friday Night Live, fills the central downtown plaza from June through August. Produced by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, Friday Night Live offers family-friendly activities including live music by bands from all over the U.S., street dining from mobile food vendors or nearby restaurants, premium Sonoma County wines and craft beers, handcrafted art, and kids’ fun. The plaza is home to many annual festivals and events.
Stroll along Main Street, which features a variety of intriguing stores, galleries, restaurants and tasting rooms.
Explore the Cloverdale History Center and Museum, with displays of old farm equipment and other items from days gone by, and catch musical and theatrical performances at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center.
Enjoy the outdoors. Launch a kayak or canoe in Cloverdale River Park, and paddle off on an adventure. Or simply enjoy a picnic on one of the park’s tables. Walk along the Clover Springs Preserve. Or enjoy the 7.4-acre City Park in the heart of Cloverdale, which offers a children’s playground as well as baseball, basketball, and volleyball courts, and a horseshoe pit.
Other annual local events include the Cloverdale Citrus Fair and Parade, the Cloverdale Car & Motorcycle Show, the Cloverdale Old Time Fiddle Festival, the annual sculpture exhibit hosted by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, and for cycling fans, the Asti Tour de Vine.
