Born and raised in Sonoma County (Northern California), Frank Gannon has been drawing since early childhood. By the age of ten he was earning money drawing portraits and illustrating college reports. He has been earning his entire living from art since 1973, when he began his art career as a portrait painter on San Francisco's Fisherman's Warf. Since then (1973) he has been painting full time. Gannon has been living in a stunningly beautiful part of the world, dubbed by his painter friends from the East Coast "landscape painter heaven"! He grew up, loving the curvaceous slopes of the California landscape. "So many Hills, so little Time."
