Wolf House Ruins, Mixed Media Series

Each of the 10 paintings in the series represents a different perspective on the ruins of Wolf House, Jack Londons massive home that was nearly finished when it burned in 1913. Each painting offers a different angle, point of view, and scale, all reflecting upon and celebrating the complex relationship between humanity and nature.
In 2013, Oginz and his family moved back to California, this time to Northern California, where he established a studio in Oakland, the city of Jack London's childhood. Now based in Sonoma, he has lived and worked as an artist in many cities - London, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Oakland - and exhibited his work widely in galleries and museums. In each of these, Oginz has been emotionally and intellectually absorbed with the concept of "landmarks", iconic works of architecture, transportation, scientific discovery, and civilization.
Admission to Rick Oginz: Wolf House Ruins, Mixed Media Series is included in the park entry fee of $10 per vehicle, up to nine passengers. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park itself opens at 9 a.m.
