  • Customized private tour featuring the unique history, cultural diversity and natural beauty of Settlement Ross. 

    $50/hour for 1-4 people; $90/hour for 5-10 people; $120/hour for 10-20 people.

    This two-hour tour includes visits to the Fort Compound, windmill, ocean bluff, nearby pinnipeds, historic orchard, redwood grove, cemetery, the Fort Ross State Historic Park Visitor Center and museum.  Make a day of it, going also, independently, to the beach and enjoying the full glory of thousands of acres of local parklands.  Tour date to be mutually acceptable to both parties and offered (in English or Russian) by Fort Ross Conservancy Guide Hank Birnbaum.

    The tour includes: one-hour+ pre-arranged walking tour, with an introduction to all eras and neighborhoods, from the Visitor Center to and through the Fort Compound (including visits to Rotchev House, Magazin, Kuskov House, Chapel, SE Blockhouse, Officials Quarters).  Optional additional visits beyond the fort are to the nearby historic orchard, redwoods, cemetery, marine mammals and Salt Point State Park.

    Fees: 1-4 people $50/hour; 5-10 people $90/hour; 10-20 people $120/hour. Please make check payable to Fort Ross Conservancy.

    The second hour is the same price, children 12 & under, free.
