The Sebastopol Farmers’ Market presents a Community Earth Day Celebration on Sunday April 22. There will be demos throughout the market from beehives to worm bins and biochar. Learn from the Master Gardeners partnering with Toy Works for some kid planting activities. Join in with Caverly on the chalk art Earth mural in front of the bandstand where you can listen to a triple billing of incredibly talented musicians: Foxtale, Cuyuy and Sakoyaha, your favorite farmer and friend bands! Check out the Instrument Library, bring clothes for the clothing swap, free seeds and kids books, and find out from different organizations tabling at the market about how you can be a part of the solution. Just by participating at your local farmers market, you can make a huge difference for farmers, family and community! It’s incredibly contagious and so powerful!! Shopping at your local farmers’ market or farm stand is an incredible way to support local food systems and small businesses.
