BY HAND:A Collection of Recycled and Upcycled Works
The Alchemia Gallery and Studios launches its Spring 2018 season March 17 with By Hand: A Collection of Recycled and Upcycled Works. The exhibit will be on display through May 4
By Hand highlights the work of emerging artists, some of whom have never shown their work publicly, both individually and in collaboration with one another. Materials used include clay, cardboard, found wire, and repurposed textiles. The show is accented by works from the Alchemia archive. Featured artists include Caitlin Albrecht, Allison Coon, Rosie Dawson, Juan Carlos Godoy, and Paul Kenna, with contributions from Nick Ryan and Molly Willis.
Alchemia's spring launch is curated by Susan Larson. Using her distinctive artistic sensibilities, Larson has curated collections for non-profit, private and corporate clients and has acted as a juror for numerous exhibitions.
Alchemia is a non-profit organization that promotes the creative expression of artists with disabilities via the visual, performing and creative arts as a vehicle for personal growth and accomplishment. Alchemia serves over 100 artists throughout Sonoma and Marin Counties.
