Knife Skills Workshop
Among the most important skills for cooking with ease and confidence is having the right knife for the job, and possessing the skills to use it. In this introduction to knives, you’ll learn the history and evolution of knives, the different types of knives and their uses, as well as basic knife skills including how to keep your knives maintained.
Bring your chef’s knife and any others you’d like to this fun and informative class. SHED’s Culinary Educator Joel Whitaker will demonstrate basic knife skills and leave you with all the knowledge you need to master chopping, mincing, and dicing. The class includes a hands-on component where students practice out some of the classic knife cuts with guidance from Chef Joel.
