Born and raised in the Sonoma County wine country, Sierra is thrilled to return to her Petaluma roots and write about the local eateries, epic trails, and artisan experiences found here. After a childhood spent exploring the Sonoma Coast and traveling throughout the western United States at large, Sierra studied journalism and history in the Smittcamp Family Honors College at Fresno State. There she took the opportunity to live in Italy for seven months, produce award-winning audio documentaries and photo projects, and study multimedia storytelling on three different continents. Bringing her camera and pen back to her home county, Sierra loves sharing with people just what makes this place so special. When she’s not at work in digital marketing, you can find Sierra out hiking, camping, working on her illustrations and photography, or scoping out the best sunset spots.
