Cascabel adds Santa Rosa location
Authentic and traditional Mexican food and two pages of of tequilas, beer, and wine are on the menu at the new Cascabel Mexican Bar & Grill in Santa Rosa, in central Sonoma County.
Popular food items include Potato Pancakes with beef barbacoa and mole sauce; Chicken Tinga Enchiladas with mole poblano; and Cocoyuc Salad with achiote marinated chicken, pineapple relish, red onion, toasted pumpkin seeds, and a pumpkin seed-serrano chili vinaigrette. The Cascabel Fries are mixed with jalapeno jelly, queso fresca, and cilantro. Desserts include Arroz con Leche (warm orange-scented rice pudding), Capirotada (date bread pudding with crème Anglaise), and Coconut Cheese Flan, topped with citrus caramel and toasted coconut.
This casual tequila bar and grill is the latest venture of Maher and Tareq Fakhouri, who also run Crepevine restaurants in Santa Rosa and throughout the Bay Area, and the original Cascabel Tequila Lounge, which opened in August 2017 in San Rafael, in Marin County.
