Friday is LGBTQI+ night at The Laugh Cellar
The Laugh Cellar comedy club in Santa Rosa has declared every Friday night at the club to be a LGBTQI+ night, giving Sonoma County’s LGBTQI+ community, visitors, and friends (age 21 and older) a chance to relax and socialize.
From 8 p.m. to midnight on the second Friday of the month (starting in May), the club hosts The Lavender Room: A Monthly Gay Social, with trivia, karaoke, dancing, music, sing-alongs, wine tasting, and high-energy music. A featured winery will be onsite at each event, and guests can take part in a guided wine tasting at their leisure. Silent rounds of trivia will be ongoing, and the winners at the end of the night will win comedy show tickets. Pop-up comedy shows will also be offered from time to time.
From 7 to 11 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month, Just DANCE provides a fun and welcoming monthly dance spot featuring a revolving door of world-class DJs from all over California. The $10 cover charge includes a drink ticket. And all the other Friday nights of each month will also be gay night at the comedy club.
The wife and wife team of Lisa and Carlee Pidge founded The Laugh Cellar in July 2017 after producing live stand-up comedy shows in the Sonoma Valley for more than four years. The Laugh Cellar offers a regular schedule of world-class standup comedy shows, a weekly trivia night, a comfy wine and beer lounge, and fun snacks at the Comedy, Dog! Café.
