In the heart of the beautiful Russian River Valley, Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery offers a proud 30-year winemaking history and a unique sense of place. Perched atop a ridge along winding Westside Road, the winery offers a spectacular view of the sweeping valley below. Gary Farrell Winery benefits immeasurably from its long-term relationships with many of the Russian River Valley’s most celebrated and sought-after vineyards including Rochioli, Allen, and Hallberg to name a few. Gary Farrell Winery helped put Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the world stage, and the hallmark Gary Farrell wine style remains one of balance, elegance, texture and sense of place. Today these acclaimed wines can be enjoyed in our inviting tasting room or on our intimate outdoor terrace, and the view from our winery completes the picture.

For a personal look at all that is Gary Farrell Winery, we invite you to join us for a behind-the-scenes tour where you will discover our pioneering past and present within the beautiful Russian River Valley. Your estate ambassador will guide you along the crush pad and into the cellar where you will learn about our winemaking process from grape to bottle. After the tour, you will be seated in a "Glamping Cottage" where your host will join you and other tour guests at a communal table, and lead you through a tasting of six highly allocated single vineyard releases. Our acclaimed, limited-production Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs are available exclusively through our tasting room and wine club membership. Please allow 90 minutes for this experience.

By appointment daily at 10am.

We are pleased to announce the highly anticipated renovation of our tasting room. Beginning in mid-November, the Tasting Room, Terrace and Salon will be shuttered to begin our tasting room remodel - a "face-lift" of sorts that will allow us to expand the interior view with floor-to-ceiling windows and finally allow us to offer our seated tasting experience indoors. During the renovations, we invite you experience elegance and luxury in nature with our Woodland Tasting, where our Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bring a kiss of sunshine to an otherwise chilly season.

Join us in one of our intimate “Glamping Cottages” overlooking our wooded hillside dotted with madrones and majestic oaks, where you and other winery guests will enjoy tranquil sounds and sights of the living forest as you sip on Gary Farrell Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from iconic Russian River Valley vineyards. Hand-selected by our estate sommelier for their exceptional representations of our winemaking style and varietal expression, each wine is presented by an estate ambassador in this educational and intimate tasting. A fully-hosted tasting available only for a limited time ... we hope you will join us for this unique experience. Please allow 60 minutes for this tasting.
By appointment daily - various times offered through May/June (estimated) while our tasting room and terrace are unavailable due to construction.
$35 per person | Complimentary for Grand Crew Members*
Tasting fee independent of wine purchase.

The Russian River Valley in Sonoma County and the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County are renowned for producing stunning Pinot Noirs and expressive cool-climate Chardonnays. Gary Farrell, Copain and Arista have teamed up to provide you with a terroir tour showcasing the distinctive flavors and characteristics that exist between these two regions, as well as from vineyard to vineyard within the same region. In between tastings, savor the scenic journey along Westside and Eastside roads as they meander through breathtaking vineyards along the banks of the Russian River.

Sonoma County’s 16 viticultural areas define the diversity of this renowned wine region and exhibit a far greater variety of wine styles and grapes than you will find in most any other premium wine areas. Gary Farrell, DaVero and Lancaster wineries offer guests the opportunity to sample signature varieties from three of Sonoma County’s most distinctive valleys - highly regarded Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from the Russian River Valley; dense, flavorful Italian varieties from the Dry Creek Valley; and distinctive, approachable Cabernet Sauvignons and Bordeaux varieties from Alexander Valley. In addition to learning about what makes each valley so unique, guests will also learn about the individualism of the wines, viticultural approaches and winemaking philosophies at each winery.
