Dan Scannell is an award winning artist working in Sonoma County.

He is the former Visual Director of I. Magnin in San Francisco and was an instructor at the de Young Museum Art School. Until recently most of his creative energy went ito designing papergoods and fabric. But in the last few years he has focused primarily on landscape painting both in oils and soft pastels.

The inspiration for his painting comes from the rural settings around the Bay Area and Northern California as well as places he has traveled. Most artwork comes framed; pastels are framed behind glass.
