Built in 1851-52 about a half mile west of the Plaza, the structure showcases a dramatic gothic Victorian style.
California History at its best.
General Vallejo was a key player in having California become part of the US. A nice, little house for a man of such importance. A must visit as part of learning the history of California.
A Must-See for the History Buff
The preservation of the home and grounds is well done. The docents obviously love their jobs and are very helpful and informative.
Historic Venue just off the plaza
