Alice Warnecke Sutro: Come To My Living Room Art Show

Sonoma County artist Alice Warnecke Sutro presents Come to My Living Room, a rare solo exhibition featuring permanent works on paper at Alley Gallery, just off the Sonoma Plaza in the LaHaye Art Center.

Best known for large-scale drawings created in public spaces, Sutro offers an intimate glimpse into her private art practice. The show includes selections from a book of drawings centered around a figure drawing session with two nude models in her living room. The resulting pieces reflect layered processes — pencil transferred to copper etching, the play of stage lighting, seasonal shadows, and digital overlays — that explore gesture, memory, and touch.

Sutro will also host a free artist talk on Thursday, July 17, at 6 p.m., discussing her techniques and the evolution of her vision.
