Annual Lunar New Year Community Celebration

The Center's festivities will offer a variety of creative programming and artistic workshops throughout February and March. The Center will hold an exclusive live public performance from the Redwood Empire Chinese Association (RECA) and Hula Mai on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Free to all, the Lunar New Year Community Day will begin with a traditional Chinese Calligraphy demonstration by Sonoma Valley Council Member Jack Ding and guest Gigi Tan Pfleger. The art activities will be followed by engaging performances by RECA's own musical performers.

- 12-3 p.m. AAPI Food Vendors and Makers
We are excited to welcome a variety of Bay Area AAPI food trucks and local vendors who will offer tasty options for purchase throughout the event.
Including: Mr. Dim Sum, Golden State Pickle Works, Maison des Plaisances, Valley Boba Craft Tea, Square Peg Foundation, and Author/Illustrator Anna Wong. - 12-1 p.m. Traditional Chinese Calligraphy

Chinese Mahjong Demonstration

Children's Crafts
Presented by the Center's Youth Arts Program. - 1-1:30 p.m. Dance Performance by Hula Mai
Hula Mai is the local Hawaiian performing arts group. Hula Mai was founded by Betty Ann Ka Ihilani Bruno. - 1:30-3 p.m. Performance by Redwood Empire Chinese Association
RECA is a non-profit organization with the mission to preserve and share Chinese culture, language, and heritage.
