Bongs and Books Silent Book Club at The Lounge at Mercy

Bongs + Books is our monthly silent book club where we swap small talk for story time.

Bring whatever you’re currently reading (or listening - we have coloring books and puzzles for our audiobook lovers!), grab something to smoke, and settle in for a cozy, low-pressure night of uninterrupted reading alongside fellow book lovers.

No assigned books, no deadlines, no discussions you have to participate in — just a shared space to unwind, light up, and get lost in a good read.

Come solo or with friends, meet other readers (if you want), or keep it quiet and stay in your own world and enjoy comfy vibes, good weed, and a room full of people happily minding their own business.

How it works:

• 5 - 6 p.m.: Arrive, get settled, and kick things off with a short welcome sesh.
• 6 - 7 p.m.: heads-down reading time, lo-fi music, and chill energy.
• 7 - 8 p.m.: wrap up chapters, meet other readers, one last sesh to end the evening!

Because sometimes the best kind of community… is quiet.
