Christian Jorgensen Gallery Evening

The Chris Jorgensen Gallery located inside of San Francisco Solano Mission will be open as part of Sonoma Art Walk. This is a unique opportunity to visit the gallery during an evening when the Sonoma Mission site is closed.

The Virgil Jorgensen Memorial Collection features the works of Virgil's father, Chris Jorgensen, which were donated to State Parks in 1951 by Florence Jorgensen. Jorgensen created a series of watercolor studies of California missions between 1903 and 1905. It was his son Virgil Jorgensen's wish that the paintings be given to Sonoma State Historic Park.These exquisite watercolors were painted between 1903 and 1904 and highlight what remained of the California missions at that time.The gallery has 57 watercolors and one oil painting to explore.
