Cosmos & Cocoa

Join us for an unforgettable evening of stargazing, exploration, and cozy treats at Cosmos and Cocoa. This event combines the wonders of the cosmos with a warm cup of cocoa.

The evening begins with a short guided hike along a portion of our Planet Walk, where you'll encounter scale models of our solar system’s planets, each with its own story. As the stars begin to shine, we’ll gather for a stargazing and storytelling session led by experienced astronomers who will point out constellations, planets, and celestial objects. The highlight of the night is telescope viewing through our powerful observatory telescopes, offering up-close views of astronomical objects visible that month. Depending on conditions, guests may see the moon’s craters, Saturn’s rings, Jupiter’s moons, and distant galaxies. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and guide guests through the best features of the night sky.

Complimentary cups of rich cocoa will be provided. Whether you're an avid stargazer or a curious beginner, Cosmos and Cocoa promises an evening filled with wonder and warmth.

No prior experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight with a red light setting — no white lights allowed. Red-light flashlights will also be available for purchase. The program begins promptly at the scheduled start time. Please allow ample time for driving and parking.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $35 for seniors (62 and older) and students, and $30 for members. The cost includes the Sugarloaf Ridge State Park parking fee.
