Crow, Raven, and Jay: Literary Bird Walk

Join author, scientist, and longtime guide Rebecca Lawton for a literary bird walk on Oona-pa’is (Sonoma Mountain). The group will meander toward Jack London’s Beauty Ranch and beyond, tuning in to wild birds—especially the clever and mysterious corvids. Expect reflections on crow talk, raven lore, and the antics of jays, paired with readings from Oona-pa’i’s literature and works from farther afield.

On a hike at the park last April, Lawton spotted 36 bird species in one outing. The walk will cover one to three miles, depending on bird activity along the way.
