Family Solar Exploration Day

Families with children ages twelve and under are invited to a special day of solar system exploration at the observatory. The program includes hands-on activities designed to teach kids about the planets and our closest star, the sun. The event will be held outdoors in part, so attendees are encouraged to bring hats, sunscreen, and water. Advanced tickets are required, attendance is limited, and tickets are nonrefundable. At least one adult chaperone is required per family, and a daytime State Park parking fee applies. Families are welcome to bring lunch or snacks to enjoy at the group campground picnic area next to the observatory before the event begins.
