Fiber Arts Demo Day

Hands-on demos, local artists, and creative fun for all ages! Bring the whole family and spend an inspiring afternoon learning about the colorful world of fiber arts! This engaging, hands-on event showcases local artists as they demonstrate a variety of techniques, from cyanotypes and botanical dyeing to pom-pom making and scrunchie crafting.

Meet the artists:

Michelle F. is a vibrant crafter and artist working in both fiber and metal. A lifelong maker, she believes creativity is best when it’s bold, colorful, and a little messy.

Kathryn D. is a lifelong quilter, fabric dyer, and surface design artist known for turning imaginative ideas into textured, tangible works of art.

Melinda F. is a local crafting expert with a passion for felting, knitting, crocheting, weaving, and sewing. An experimenter at heart, she loves trying new techniques and sharing them with others.

Penelope L. is a local soft sculptor and dedicated recycler whose practice explores the intersections of art and sustainability. Inspired by her own ponytail (and the scrunchies that tame it), she’s curated a special educational activity just for this event!

All ages and experience levels are encouraged to attend. Come get inspired and try something new!
