Flora & Fauna Watercolor Course

In this 6 week course, participants will learn a unique approach to watercolor, intended to alleviate the frustration that many experience when learning this beautiful yet challenging medium. The class will focus on strengthening ones observational skills, giving the artist a foundation off of which to build their paintings in a step by step layering process, that trains the artist to see value and color
Our subjects will be flora and fauna - a sampling of plants and animals - fruits, florals, foliage, and four legged friends. These subjects are great for beginners and experienced watercolor painters alike; their organic shapes make them forgiving drawing subjects, but their beauty can be a muse for life.
This class will work from life and from photos, practicing basic drawing skills in addition to watercolor technique. With six class sessions, participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills and build muscle memory with a medium that often feels like it has a mind of its own.
